Inspire: Facilitator Program

Be empowered to identify and build the leadership capacity of emerging leaders in your local area. 

As an Inspire Facilitator, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the mindsets and behaviours of future school leaders, inspiring the next generation. 

You will also extend yourself as a leader of professional learning and an effective learning facilitator, while contributing to your network and the system. 

New facilitators are required to complete the Academy Facilitator Program prior to undertaking this professional learning. 

The Inspire: Facilitator Program is delivered by Academy expert facilitators, including Principals in Residence and Academy staff with school leadership experience. 

Roles

Designed for:

• school-based principal class officers
• system leaders from central and regional locations, with previous school leadership experience.

School sectors 

This program is available to the following school sectors:

• Victorian Government
• Catholic
• independent. 

Delivery

You will engage and contribute to: 

• 1 day face-to-face workshop focusing on program content
• 1 day face-to-face end of year Facilitator Symposium.

You will deliver one intake of the Inspire: Emerging Leaders program. Over 4 months you will need to commit to: 

• collaborative planning sessions (4 hours)
• self-paced planning and exploration of program content (approximately 2 hours)
• facilitating workshops (approximately 20 hours). 

Learning outcomes

You will develop the skills to: 

• confidently use relevant resources, tools and information to deliver the Inspire: Emerging Leaders program
• articulate the Inspire: Emerging Leaders program, including the aim, structure, course requirements and learning tasks
• understand and utilise the Inspire: Facilitator Program supports, expectations, and delivery parameters
• build and maintain relationships with principal class leaders that inspire and support you to achieve and sustain program delivery
• use personal reflection and professional discussion to better understand and extend your leadership and facilitation skills. 

Application process

Applicants are required to complete the Academy Facilitator Program prior to undertaking this professional learning.

Acceptance into the Inspire: Facilitator Program is dependent on a selection process and endorsement from your Senior Education Improvement Leader. 

Successful applicants will be allocated an area-based facilitator triad to deliver Inspire: Emerging Leaders in your Department of Education Area.

We significantly subsidise costs for all participants.

Financial support

Victorian school participants may be eligible for additional subsidies.
