Academy Moe centre launched
On Thursday 27 April, our regional centre in Moe was officially opened, and what a day it was! The centre, located at 32 Kirk St, Moe, boasts two multi-purpose learning studios, a design thinking space, and three remote learning studios. Our local team will support the centre's operations, providing educational approaches that cater to the needs of local educators in Inner, West and South Gippsland, Latrobe Valley, and surrounding areas.
The day began with a Smoking Ceremony and Welcome to Country from Gunaikurnai Elder Colin and Michelle Dow, which was an absolute privilege to witness. We extend our heartfelt thanks to Colin and Michelle for joining us in the opening of the new centre.
Hon. Natalie Hutchins MP, Minister for Education, officially opened the centre in front of an audience of local teachers, school leaders, TEP teachers, and representatives from the Department of Education and the Victorian School Building Authority, along with the Hon. Harriet Shing MLC and Cr Kellie O'Callaghan, Mayor. It was amazing to see so many people come together with the shared objective of improving access to professional learning to enhance the quality of teaching across Victoria.
If you're an educator in West and South Gippsland, Latrobe Valley, or surrounding areas, please drop by and meet our passionate local team to find out more about our exciting range of learning initiatives, programs, and events dedicated to leadership and teaching excellence. We're eagerly looking forward to the opening of our next regional site!
