Teaching Excellence Program - applications open

Applications for the Victorian Academy of Teaching and Leadership’s 2024 Teaching Excellence Program (TEP) are now open and highly-skilled teachers from across Victoria are encouraged to apply. 

TEP is a 12-month program designed to advance the professional knowledge and practice of exceptional teachers from Victorian government, Catholic and Independent schools.   

Teachers accepted into the program will have access to the latest evidence-informed research to apply in their classrooms. Through the program, teachers will advance their knowledge in their learning areas and will improve their capability and confidence to teach more effectively.   

TEP graduates apply new knowledge and contribute to ongoing teaching excellence at their schools and networks.

Victorian Academy of Teaching and Leadership CEO, Dr Marcia Devlin AM said: 

“We are extremely proud to be leading education excellence in Australia through the Teaching Excellence Program. This is the first professional learning program of its kind in Australia. It takes teachers who participate from great to exceptional.”  

“TEP participants come from the government, Catholic and Independent education sectors, across metropolitan rural and regional Victoria, and from all the disciplines. Our graduates make a real difference, impacting student outcomes in classrooms across the state.”
